There are a variety of possibilities available for those who would like to work as at the Center. We offer both paid and unpaid internships and other opportunities for student workers. Full-time or part-time non-student work opportunities will be listed on Chadron State College main employment page.

The Center is always looking for volunteers!

You do not need to be an expert about Mari Sandoz or the Cattle Industry to help!

Volunteers are needed at the Center to:

• Help care for and tell people about the Heritage Gardens
• Help welcome visitors to the Center, the Gardens, and Chadron State College
• Help research items in the collection
• Help answer research requests
• Help with school tours at the Center

Opportunities to Volunteer are not limited to the Center itself!

The Center is expanding its outreach through public programs, lectures, presentations, exhibits, and research areas.

Volunteers are needed everywhere to:

• Help coordinate local events
• Help the Center develop events, programs, and exhibitions that would be of interest to your community
• Help Center staff and outside researchers with ongoing work
• Help the Center to build its collections
• Help spread the word about the Center
