Mari Sandoz Heritage Society
The DeMarco Conference Speaker Endowment
- Purpose: This intent of the fund is to provide annual financial support of Sandoz Society programming by paying expenses and fees to attract outstanding keynote speakers to the Society’s Annual Conference, held at the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center, a component of Chadron State College. A monograph will be prepared from each year’s conference, to be available for sale in the Center’s gift shop and placed in the Center’s Ethel S. Abbott Library for research purposes.

Peter R. & Loreta L. DeMarco Endowment
- Purpose: The intent of the Fund is to acquire and preserve archival materials for the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center’s Ethel S. Abbott Library.

The Mary Jane Barnes Gottschalk Fund
- Purpose: The intent of the Fund is to provide stipends for Mary Jane Barnes Gottschalk Interns working in the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center, a component of Chadron State College. These for-credit internships should enhance course work, support career goals, and be supervised by a faculty advisor and the Center Director of other professional staff member.

Don & Elenor Green Endowment
- Purpose: This Fund was established by School of Liberal Arts faculty and staff in honor of Dean Don Green’s retirement. The intent of the fund is to provide stipends for Don & Elenor Green interns working in the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center, a component of Chadron State College. These for-credit internships should enhance course work, support career goals, and be supervised by a faculty advisor and the Center Director of other professional staff member.

The Harris-Bishop Endowment
- Purpose: This Fund was established by Donors (alumni 1959) in memory of family members who received educations from the College, beginning in the 1920s, and to recognize their High Plains heritage.
- The intent of the fund is to provide support exclusively for the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center, a component of Chadron State College, to pay for publications related to the Center and/or help provide public outreach activities related to writing editing, and/or publication design held in conjunction with the Center.

The Mari Sandoz Heritage Society Endowment
- Purpose: This Fund was established by the Mari Sandoz Heritage Society to provide ongoing support of the Society’s activities on behalf of the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center, a component of Chadron State College, to assist in the promotion of understanding of the American Indian culture in the High Plains, primarily the Northern Cheyenne, Oglala Sioux, and Northern Arapahoe, to encourages partnerships with American Indian groups and students, and to acquire research documents written from the American Indian perspective.

- Purpose: The intent of the Fund is to provide ongoing support of the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center, a component of Chadron State College.

- Purpose: The intent of the Fund is to provide ongoing support for the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center, a component of Chadron State College, programs.

William G. & Frances C. Lindeken Internship Fund
- Purpose: As legal representative and personal friend, the Trustee is familiar with the Lindeken’s interests in the Sandoz Center, the College, and its students. This resulted in the establishment of this Fund by the Trustee on behalf of the Estate of William G. & Frances C. Lindeken.
- These for-credit internships are intended to enhance the interns' academic and career goals in fine arts and shall be supervised by a faculty advisor and the Center director or appropriate professional staff member.

The Esther & Raleigh Pilster Fund
- Purpose: The intent of the Fund is to provide ongoing support of the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center, a component of Chadron State College. Designated areas of use are as follows:
- Pilster High Plains Lecture Series; Ranching Exhibits; Range and Forage Crop Management and Agronomy Research; Repository of Materials Reflecting the Settlement of the Region; and institutes and workshops.

The Diane Dufva Quantic Fund
- Purpose: The intent of the Fund is to provide ongoing support for the educational programming and activities provided by the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center, a component of Chadron State College. Focus should be placed in the following areas: development of educational workshops, materials, and other programming that focus on the High Plains region and that would be available to educators and other public venues in Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, eastern Colorado, and eastern Wyoming.

- Purpose: The intent of the Fund, established in memory of Joseph John and Florence M. (Thull) Van Hoff is to provide ongoing support of the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center, a component of Chadron State College.

Sallie Humphrey Voorhees Endowment
- Purpose: The intent of the Fund - established in memory of Sallie Humphrey Voorhees, who was a lifelong adventurer on horseback and in the classroom as as a stimulating mother and grandmother - is to provide stipends in the form of Voorhees Grants link this to the researchers page where more information and the forms for the Grants will be for researchers using the archival resources of the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center.
